Max Martin, a Swedish producer and songwriter, is the mastermind behind numerous mega-hit pop songs.
He's won five Grammys for songs including "Since U Been Gone" and "Can't Stop The Feeling."
Taylor Swift worked with Martin on her new album, "The Life of a Showgirl."
Max Martin was once a mysterious force behind the world's biggest pop music hits.
Martin, whose real name is Karl Martin Sandberg, has been writing and producing songs since the '90s, but music fans now recognize his name as a standard part of the pop zeitgeist.
Some of his biggest hits almost wound up in the hands of other stars — TLC was offered "...Baby One More Time" before Britney Spears. But no matter which pop artist ends up taking on the track, Martin's work has a huge success rate, with a total of five Grammy awards from 25 nominations.
Taylor Swift enlisted the help of Martin and Karl "Shellback" Schuster for her latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl." They previously collaborated on her mega-hits such as "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," and "Delicate."
Keep reading for a look at the biggest pop songs written, cowritten, and produced by Max Martin.

The future is very much yet to be written about vertical farming. In many ways, the technology presents hope in the midst of rising food safety concerns, aging populations and potential environmental collapse. It’s also an intensely hard row to hoe, as it were. Early companies in the space are going to be the ones focused on driving down unit economics (hopefully) to a point where the technology makes sense from a price perspective. But sometimes being early to a party means you’re among the first to leave. Last January, we covered what looked to be an important next step for Upward Farms, as the company announced plans to open a 250,000-square-foot farm in Northeastern, Pennsylvania early this year. The Brooklyn-based firm recently announced , however, that it has closed up shop. “We found that vertical farming is almost infinitely complex — as we tackled challenges, new ones emerged,” founders Jason Green, Ben Silverman and Matt La Rosa said in an open letter. “Our team faced thes...
I’ve yet to walk the entire floor at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year (that’s the goal for this afternoon), but my sense is the majority of the robots present fit into one of two categories: robot vacuums or greeter robots. With Pepper out of commission, maybe there’s a wide-open market there. Who knows? The two Xiaomi robots — CyberOne and CyberDog — may well have been the most prominent of the show, and neither were especially inspiring. It was fun finally seeing the Cyber One in person after writing about it seven months ago. The humanoid robot’s stilted locomotion screamed “research prototype” in the first demo, and I’m plenty wary about phone makers getting “serious” about robotics. There was no demo in the booth this year, rendering it more of an expensive mechanical mannequin. Xiaomi’s humanoid CyberOne robot at MWC 2023.
